Starting this week, kids can learn principles of scientific observation by showing a special printed image to their webcam when they play Dinosaur Train’s Hatching Party game. Showing the printed image to the webcam will sprout a 3D dinosaur egg on their computer screen. Kids will hatch the egg by warming all sides of it under the augmented reality sun. Once hatched, kids are guided by the Dinosaur Train character Buddy to observe the baby dino’s characteristics to determine what kind of dinosaur it is and feed it according to whether it’s an herbivore or carnivore.
