A Special Tourism Edition Of Americas Now

Cuba - EcoTourism. One country that is banking on tourism to increase -- is Cuba. The industry earns the nation almost 2-billion dollars a year in foreign currency. And with renewed relations with the United States...increasing its number of tourists, Cuba is trying to attract a broader range of visitors - especially those interested in eco-tourism. Brazil- Luxury in Brazil. The country of Brazil has been one of Latin America's biggest beneficiaries of global tourism in recent years. Brazil was the host nation of the 20-14 World Cup and the recent 20-16 Summer Olympics. We had the chance to travel to a couple of cities in Brazil where those events took place. Sao Paulo - the nation's business capital - and Rio de Janeiro -- its playground. Both places are lined with luxury hotels, restaurants and shops. Mexico - Tulum Boom. Tourist destinations can be like new restaurants: Word gets out....people create a buzz...and soon there are long lines to get in. On Mexico's Yucatan peninsula...you'll find the once, sleepy, beach village of Tulum. In a decade it's gone from hammock heaven...to the hottest spot in the sun...full of stylish, bungalow hotels. Business is booming...but some worry it could "end up" a victim of its own success.
