Catherine Grigull's Lampshades - The Berlin-based designer Catherine Grigull makes so-called Loupioutte lampshades by hand using special papers from Japan and the Himalaya region. She's had her own label since 1996. Custom-Made Yachts - Italian company Dominator builds prize-winning, customized luxury yachts for clients who get to have a say on everything from layout to fittings. It takes six to twelve months to complete a yacht, with the company only building about ten a year. We head to Fano in Italy to meet up with Dominator's owners and designers. Riga as European Capital of Culture - The Latvian capital with nearly 700,000 people is the largest city in the Baltics. This year it is also a European Capital of Culture. Our reporter was there to see how people are banding together to make their city a "force majeure" of culture and artful ideas - and that includes a visit to the city's new National Library. Art from Scrap - Edouard Martinet worked in Paris for years as a graphic artist before turning to sculpture. His latest works use scrap metal mainly recovered from old cars, bikes and mopeds to create anatomically perfect animals. German Models in Paris - The Haute Couture Week takes place twice a year in Paris. Big fashion houses like Chanel and Dior show off elaborately designed handmade gowns and robes. A number of top German models are regulars at the event. One of them took us along.
