American artist Christian Riese Lassen, recognized for his illustrations of the oceans and their inhabitants, visits the beach town of Shichigahama, Miyagi, to clean up the rubble and help with recovery from the disaster. Lassen's work is a window on the relationship between humans and the ocean environment. In Shichigahama he meets with surfers and draws pictures with children, who thank him with a song.
