Having blocked in the background, this session really starts to develop the painting. Intensifying the rocks and defining the shoreline and highlighting the trees are part of this process. Next, Jerry using the No. 10 bristle brush creates the background glow to soften the painting, using the dry brush blending technique and intensifying the rays of light flowing into the foreground. This session concludes by blocking in the Turquoise River using short, horizontal banana strokes to create the water movement, by adding white to the turquoise to create the pop. In the last part of this session, we intensify the glow emanating from the back of the painting.
