Hereditary Angioedema isn't something that everyone has heard of... even though it's been the subject of popular television medical series. But this mysterious condition is very well-known to people who treat disorders of the immune system. It's an out of control inflammatory response that can cause a person's face, arms, and legs to swell for no apparent reason. It may also cause the person's airway to swell and can be fatal. Fortunately HAE is rare but there are treatments for this condition...in this program we meet people who have lived successfully with HAE.
