The Haute Savoie, (high country) region of France is renowned for its architecture and spectacular mountain scenery and is home to the three best known ski destinations in France. Hosts Mark Jennings and Julie Conover tour them all, covering the slopes, villages and cuisine of Meribel, Chamonix and Val D'Isere. In Meribel, Mark climbs into the harness to hanglide with the French Champion; in the mountaineering capital of Chamonix, Julie skis fresh powder in the shadow of the Mont Blanc and in Val d'Isere they meet the competitors in the Euro Mogul challenge. They even take a short trip across the border into Italy to ski the thirteen mile Valle Blanche run through a glacial landscape that returns them to France.
