Author and designer, Laura West Kong will show how to use fusible web and cotton fabric to decorate handmade cards. She says you can use a pattern or learn to cut freehand shapes, and then have fun embellishing them with no-sew pen stitching. Her book is titled Fast Fun & Easy Fabric Cover-Button Jewelry. Teresa Cifali is a mixed media artist and designer for the Craft & Hobby Industry, and she's going to show samples of cards and scrapbook pages where vellum has been incorporated into the design. She'll also show how to colorize vellum and create a weaved background. Americans love to snack! Michelle Dudash is a registered dietitian, chef, author and spokesperson for the California Raisin Marketing Board, and she stresses that moms (and dads, too) need to realize it's important that snacks function as healthy mini meals - not meal wreckers.
