KLRU is proud to present the Thirteenth Annual Reading Rainbow
Young Writers and Illustrators Contest. This local competition
encourages children in kindergarten through third grade to
create their own original picture books. "This contest
invites children to open their minds and explore their world
in an exciting and creative way," says LeVar Burton,
host of Reading Rainbow.

begins January 15 and concludes March 20, 2007.
National prizes include– laptops (Grand Prize), flat
panel TVs + DVDs (Second Place), MP3 players (Third Place).
Local prizes include– DVDs, books and Reading Rainbow
backpacks.
