This entertainment extravaganza was originally planned and staged by the Rolling Stones in December of 1968 as a BBC TV Special to be broadcast not long afterwards but has never been shown. Featuring performances by Jethro Tull, The Who, Marianne Faithful and many songs by The Stones, the theatrical concert also introduces Yer Blues, written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and performed by John Lennon with Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Mitch Mitchell. The public television broadcast includes a never-before-televised 2004 interview with The Who’s Pete Townshend about the historical gathering.
