Brad Paisley to perform at annual KLRU Block Party fundraiser

Austin, TX -- KLRU-TV, Austin PBS, presents multi-Grammy winning country music superstar Brad Paisley at the 2008 KLRU Block Party gala on Oct. 24 at the Austin Music Hall. With humorous and heartfelt chart toppers, Paisley always gives an exuberant, not-to-be-missed performance and his show for KLRU's Block Party will be no exception.

The 2008 KLRU Block Party is the third in a series of gala events celebrating KLRU's future presence downtown with the creation of the planned Austin City Limits Studio Theatre in the Block 21 development. This lot across from Austin's City Hall is a cornerstone in the revitalization of Downtown Austin.

The event will features an Austin City Limits-style musical performance giving guests a one-of-a-kind and up-close concert performance with one of the biggest names in music today. Throughout his career singer/songwriter/guitarist Brad Paisley has stayed true to the sounds of traditional country while adding his own modern twist. Since his debut on Austin City Limits in 2000, Paisley has filled his shelves with multi-platinum albums, Grammy Award nominations and numerous Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards.

Space at the 2008 KLRU Block Party is limited and the 2006 and 2007 events sold out. Tables seat 10 people and are available for $5,000. In addition to the concert, the event includes an evening of fine food and drink and an exclusive sneak preview of KLRU and PBS programming. Tables can be purchased at klru.org/blockparty or by calling 471-3101. All net proceeds benefit KLRU-TV, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
