This is the open for Juneteenth Jamboree 2011.

This year’s episode looks back at the Civil War with Southwestern University Professor Jessica Grogan; Funmi and Friends explore the food of Juneteenth with authors Toni Tipton-Martin and Deborah Orr, visits three restaurants (Hoover’s Cooking, Taste of Ethiopia, and Green Pastures), and reworks the Black National Anthem with the hip-hop crew of Doughboy the Midwest Maestro and DJ Kool Rod.
