Ready To Learn Workshops

These Ready To Learn workshops help parents and teachers of young children learn how interactive television viewing linked with storybook reading and activities enrich a child's learning.

Families attend three to six Ready To Learn sessions to explore reading strategies, math, science, media literacy and related hands-on activities. Families are recruited through public schools and other parenting programs. Participating families receive six to twelve children's storybooks, materials for home activities and the PBS Families newsletters.
