2017 KLRU KIDS Writers Contest

The KLRU KIDS Writers Contest is a local contest this year designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning. Children in kindergarten through third grade will be encouraged to write and illustrate stories and submit them to KLRU, which will then select winners and award prizes on May 13, 2017. All entries will be published on KLRU’s website.

This is not a national contest.

Contest Details:

The KLRU-TV local Contest will begin January 1, 2017 and will end March 31, 2017.

KLRU Writers’ Contest entries may be emailed as PDF or JPG attachments only.

Each entry will need two attachments:

  1. Entry Form (download, print, sign, and scan with adult signature)
  2. The story (JPG or PDF)
