One of the benefits of working near a college campus is being able to catch the hardworking students at their finest. So, on a dreary Friday at the end of November, I was thrilled to be shaken out of my pre-lunch stupor by the call to battle. KLRU’s fine programming associate and resident historian, Scott Hoffman, phoned me in a frenzy to inform me of the goings-on down the street from our station.
University of Texas at Austin students Bradley Wright and Patrick Winn devised this event as part of their class ‘Housing America’, taught by Professor Steve Ross. I’m not sure if attendance was taken or grades given for this particular activity, but fun was surely had by all. And there was very little bloodshed, which is always a good thing ![]()
