Hey fellow Austinites here is take-two of our docubloggers adventrue. This time our friend and local Austin geek, Kristine Gloria did a cool Mash-Up of the content. Let us know what you think in the comments below. Not sure what a Mash-up is? Well then get to watching!

So people often ask how to use Twitter for their brand, company or service. Here is a perfect example (hey Tyson Foods are you reading today?
) we are organizing a Twitter Tweetup.
What that means is we have a bunch of the Austin Twitter people send a note out that we are all going to meet a certain location (like a meet-up). Usually this involves a speaker or adult beverages, but this time MIchelle Greer (@michellegreer) had the bright idea to do a Tweetup around a Blood Drive with @connicereece and I helping to organize. What a cool way to use Twitter to get something done! So if you are around Central Texas this week follow these instructions:
The Twitter Blood Drive is being sponsored by
The 501 Tech Club of Austin
The Austin Social Media Club
It’s been a wild year of docubloggin’ across the state of Texas, but like all good things, this inaugural season of Docubloggers must come to and end. Today marks the last new episode of Season 1, but fret not, Docubloggers! Season 2 is just around the corner!
Look for new episodes beginning October 9th. And don’t forget, our contest is still on so SUBMIT THOSE VIDEOS! You’ll get an “I’m a Docublogger” t-shirt and you just might win a new camcorder!
We might be off the air, but we’re never off the web, so go out there and docublog!
I’ve been planning a trip to Matagorda Bay for September. The Docubloggers team will be staying overnight and meeting up with the LCRA folks to find out more about what makes this area so unique. Matagorda Bay Nature Park is a 1,600-acre park and preserve at the mouth of the Colorado River on the Matagorda Peninsula. LCRA developed the park to provide recreation, education, wetlands preservation and economic benefit to the region. I’m going to get to take a boat ride with James Arnold who owns Day on the Bay Services. I just hope that we don’t lose a camera to the Gulf!
When I first started working for KLRU as an intern many moons ago, I felt a great deal of pride to be associated with the station behind Austin City Limits. My dad was a big fan of the show, and I grew up watching it in San Antonio. He was thrilled to find out I was working at KLRU, and even more thrilled the first time I actually got to work on a taping … with Robert Plant! (more…)
