I was delighted to learn that producer/director Janet Pierson has become an avid blogger. She started Friends Are My Art Form that explores everything from film to her personal take on life experiences. She talks more about her blogging adventures in this interview that took place at the SXSW Get Weirdly Wired party that was held at KLRU’sAustin City Limits studio.

We found ourselves at the red carpet reception for the Austin Film Society’s Texas Film Hall of Fame. We rubbed elbows with the stars and were able to spread the word about Docubloggers. Luke Wilson didn’t seem to hear the title correctly the first time around, but he isn’t alone. When we first pitched the show, “Donkey Bloggers” was the name our Creative Services Director heard, and we all joked about (hence the donkeys in the opening credits!).
We had such great response to Sean’s docublog on Maker Fair, and when I saw Dale Dougherty editor of CRAFT and MAKE magazine and founder of Maker Fair at SXSW Interactive, I wanted to find out more about his overarching view of how building do it yourself (DIY) communities can be similar to building online communities.
