  • Plant fall pumpkins and winter squash seeds.
  • Remove rotting or damaged fruit from on and around fruit trees against spread of disease and insects.
  • Spray roses with neem oil or other natural product to control black spot and powdery mildew. See John's Tips for Disease Control for more ideas.
  • Prune fall bloomers now to encourage shrubby growth as they prepare to set buds for October blooming.
