• Remember to deeply water your fruit trees.
• Shade trees, and any new plants. But with new perennials or annual transplants, be careful not to overdo it-they may rot, especially if the soil is heavy or contains lots of organic matter.
• With the heat, spider mites may be a problem right now. Blast them with water every few days, making sure to get the undersides of the leaves.
