  • Cut back spring-flowering bulbs if the leaves have turned brown. You can divide and move them now while you can see them.
  • Prune spring-flowering shrubs, perennials and roses and lighting fertilize or top dress with compost.
  • Be vigilant about insect pests. Avoid harsh chemicals. Hand pick when you can. If you must use a product, including organics, know what your insect is.
  • White flies are busy right now, so spray with neem oil or insecticidal soap in the cool of the evening or morning.
