• Plant annual and perennial warm season plants, but wait on bulbs like caladiums.
• Seed out zinnias, sunflowers, Mexican sunflowers (Tithonia), and cosmos for summer color.
• Plant peppers, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, melons, corn, cucumbers, squash, and Swiss chard.
• Pull and/or mow weeds to keep seeds from maturing and spreading to make next year's weeds.
