  • Plant warm-season vegetables.
  • Protect tomatoes from cutworms. Insert a paper towel tube or foil liner around the base of the plant, set into the soil for a few inches, to protect them until they get established.
  • Make room for warm season herbs, like basil, to plant in a few weeks.
