Weed! Spring weeds are coming up like crazy. You'll save yourself a lot of work later if you pluck or hoe them as you see them.
Divide crowded spring-blooming perennials, including coneflower, gallardia, and yarrow.
Plant carrots, onions, lettuce, spinach, dill, arugula, cilantro, lemon balm, and chamomile.
It's an excellent time to plant trees and shrubs. Just be sure to keep them watered well as we head into winter.
Best to wait a few more weeks to move trees and shrubs that need a better location. It will be much easier on them if you wait until it's cooler and they are dormant.
Since it's so dry, water your fruit trees to guarantee best production next spring.
Fertilize the lawn.
