Why is my 'Wonderful' pomegranate not fruiting?

Thanks to Helen Kott for sending this question! Her 'Wonderful' pomegranate is 7' tall and healthy. It has lush foliage and beautiful flowers. But after three years, still no fruit.

Pomegranates are self-pollinating, so it doesn't need another tree.

It's possible that this tree is not 'Wonderful' after all. This plant is often grown from seed. These are not as fruitful as the original cultivar.

But, it could also be that Helen's pomegranate is concentrating on its growth right now. It wants to mature a bit more before producing offspring.
