Square Bud Primrose (Calylophus berlandieri)

Square Bud primrose is an Edwards Plateau perennial. It blooms spring into summer with bright yellow flowers. You'll see them on the roadsides right now. Its evergreen foliage gets about a foot tall and it has a little bit of deer resistance. It looks great along sunny curbsides, paths and borders. Prune it back in early spring to encourage new growth. It doesn't need fertilizer, and once established, doesn't need extra water. If it can survive in nature with no care, it can survive in your yard with just a little bit of care and look great!
