Tips of the Week
-
Plant blue-leaved vegetables, like broccoli, cauliflower, and kohlrabi. These are what we call winter plants, winter vegetables, so they like the cooler weather. We're not that cool yet, but you can get those planted out into the garden, protect them a little bit from the sun.
-
Prepare beds to plant other cool weather crops, like lettuce and spinach.
-
Get ready to plant herbs, like parsley, cilantro, dill and fennel.
-
Add compost to beds to prepare for cool winter color.
