Plant of the Week: Ice Plant
Tips of the Week
-
When watering, give your plants and lawn a thorough soaking; then let them dry out. You want them to survive but you don't want them too dependent on the water hose.
-
New woody transplants need a little trimming and guidance at this time.
-
Finish off mulching.
-
Fruit trees are coming into maturity, so be sure that they get adequate moisture. Thin branches as soon as possible. If any fruits are diseased, be sure to remove them. Also discard any fruit that falls to the ground, since it may contain worms that will start the cycle all over again.
