Tips of the Week
Add any manure or compost to your upcoming vegetable beds to make sure it has plenty of time to age before you plant
Avoid pruning freeze-damaged plants at this time
Spray fruit trees or other insect or disease-prone plants with a dormant oil
If you haven't yet picked out the roses you want, prepare their beds with a good compost and fertilizer
In honor of MLK day, consider planting an extra patch or row of vegetables and donating them to a food pantry
