Collect leaves. They contain a lot of free nutrients to nourish the garden organically. But compost them or spread them on your beds. If you leave them on the lawn, they will shade out the grass. Producer note: after raking up as many as I can, I run the mower over the rest of them to crunch them up and send them to the soil.
