Tips of the Week

  • Plant spring flowering bulbs that don't require chilling, like species tulips, ornamental alliums, narcissus and Dutch iris.
  • Continue planting trees, shrubs, roses, cold-hardy perennials.
  • Continue seeding the vegetable garden.
  • Gather rowcover, blankets, and other protection to be ready for a frost on your cold-tender plants.
  • Watch your citrus because they'll be ready soon, even if they don't turn color.
