Plant of the Week: Oakleaf Hydrangea

Oakleaf Hydrangea

Tips of the Week

  • Fertilize your lawn. This is the best time of year to do it. The one that you want to choose this time of year would have a ratio of 3:1:2; nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium.
  • Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and herbs.
  • Continue planting wildflower seeds.
  • Continue planting vegetable seeds and transplants.
  • It's not too late to divide iris and other perennials.
  • Plan how you're going to protect marginal plants and cold-tender vegetables. Take cuttings of summer annuals or cold-tender favorites that you'd like to preserve.
