  • Be sure to water your soil well before any planting.
  • Plant trees and shrubs.
  • Plant roses.
  • Plant spring perennials.
  • Get bulbs to plant in November.
  • Plant lettuce, spinach, carrots, broccoli and other cool weatherfood crops.
  • Plant cilantro, parsley, dill, oregano, chervil, salad burnet. Avoid planting basil at this time, no matter how enticing it is! (unless you have a greenhouse)
