<p>The People’s Gallery at City Hall is a free, annual exhibition designed to showcase regional artists and to encourage public dialog, understanding, and enjoyment of visual art. Each year, visitors are asked to vote on their favorite pieces, and the winning piece is bought by the City of Austin and continues to be displayed.</p>

I find my balance by pairing fine wooden furniture with rough wood strip sculpture. My furniture pieces are well planned, tightly fit, and finished. My sculpture is the opposite. By lacking tightly fit joinery and finish, they evolve as they are built with very little planning. With my sculpture I have embraced what some would consider flaws, and instead of hiding them, I illuminate them with neon light exposing their inner beauty. </p>

<p>Andrea Pramuk received her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. Today, she is painting and showing her work while also pursuing a career in graphic design and marketing at a local wood painting panel manufacturer. With daily exposure to new materials, she has become quite versed in the diverse applications of art materials for use in mixed media processes. Andrea finds inspiration in traveling, the outdoors, people, animals, and in all forms of music.</p>
