Griffon Ramsey is one of the four artists at The FORT creative workshop.  Inspired by video games and the totem poles of the Pacific Northwest, Griffon Ramsey creates sculptures by carving large pieces of cedar wood with a chainsaw.

Following the creative footsteps of his father, Werllayne Nunes began to paint landscapes of his Brazilian community as a teenager.  Abandoning studies in Europe toward a career in medicine, he’s arrived here in Austin, Texas, as a hyper-realist with a twist. Werllayne’s work is on exhibit at the People’s Gallery in Austin City Hall through January 2013.

The King James Bible: History and Influence at The Harry Ransom Center in Austin, TX, traces the history of the King James translation of the Bible including the influence of earlier Bibles and the committee of scholars who spent over six years poring over the text word by word. The Harry Ransom Center, located on The University of Texas Austin campus, is an archive specializing in the collection of literary and cultural artifacts from the United States and Europe. On exhibit February 28 – July 29, 2012.
