O. Henry Pun-Off 2011

The O. Henry Pun-Off World Championships are held at the O. Henry Museum once each year. The 2011 event was the 34th annual Pun-off. People travel from around the world to participate and watch this event, which has two portions: “”Punniest of Show,”" which is a freestyle competition for punsters with prepared material and “”Punslingers,”" which features people battling in wordplay on a given topic and will pun within strict time limits until one is speechless or repeats a previous pun.
The O. Henry Museum is located at 409 E. Fifth Street in Austin, Texas. Admission is free. The O. Henry Museum offers a look into the life of William Sidney Porter in the Austin years leading up to his controversial prison term, after which he assumed the pen name O. Henry.
