The 3rd Annual WordGirl Definition Competition is fast approaching!

Inspired by the educational objectives of WordGirl’s TV show, the Definition Competition aims to enrich students’ vocabulary in a fun and interactive way. During the 30-minute live webcast, students will play along with three rounds – and a bonus round – of game-show-type questions, testing their knowledge of words, usage, and reading comprehension.

Classes have been registering throughout the month, and there has been a great turnout. Make sure to tune in live on Tuesday, May 1, at 1pm Eastern, noon Central, 10am Pacific, to cheer on the live players and see if a school from your district takes home a prize!

After the broadcast, the event will be archived on the PBS Teachers Page.

When WordGirl accuses Tobey of being too predictable with his crimes, he responds by using his robots to hold WordGirl’s beloved town library hostage, unless she plays them in a game of winner-take-all dodge ball.

The Association of Villains is ready to retire Granny May unless she’s able to capture WordGirl. She successfully lures WordGirl into a trap by starting a book club. Will WordGirl be able to read between the lines and escape the clutches of Granny May?
Friday, July 15 – #305 “That’s Entertainment”
The Energy Monster’s latest prison break interrupts the Botsford family’s television time. While Tim, Sally, and TJ brainstorm new forms of entertainment, like READING, WordGirl hunts down the Energy Monster and returns him to his prison cell.
