Austin’s Heartless Bastards will tape an episode of Austin City Limits on Wednesday, June 3, at 8 p.m. KLRU will be giving away 75 pair (150 total) of Space Available tickets. Leatherbag is the vision of songwriter Randy Reynolds, who creates “an intelligent blend of pop and rock” (Big Diction). Through several releases including 2006’s “haunting and beautiful” (Austin Sound) Love Me Like The Devil and 2007’s Nowhere Left To Run featuring songs “bristling with energy and vivid images” (Austin Chronicle), Reynolds has explored a wide variety of musical territory while steadily gaining fans.

ACL Stage Left is a new web music series brought to you by KLRU-TV, Austin PBS, the station responsible for the iconic PBS series Austin City Limits. Like its forerunner, ACL Stage Left features intimate performances of both bands you know and bands you’ll want know. ACL Stage Left will delve into the experience of music and the stories of the people who create it by featuring both performances and interviews with the artists. It will be presented this summer as part of klru.tv - a new online video resource.

KLRU will be taping an episode of Texas Monthly Talks featuring Dee Dee Myers on Friday, April 3. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the taping starts at 10 a.m.

Myers served as White House Press Secretary during President Bill Clinton’s first term, becoming the first woman to hold that position. She left the White House at the end of 1994. Myers is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and the author of the bestselling book Why Women Should Rule the World.
