Parenting information from A Place of Our Own/Los Ninos en su Casa and Raising Readers tip sheets will be available.  Parents will be guided through the PBS KIDS GO!, PBS KIDS Island and PBS Parents websites.

KLRU will be donating between 1,500-2,000 children’s books.

KLRU will be assisting in addressing the 3 goals of  Feria Para Aprender (The Learning Fair):

1. Organize Spanish-only speaking parents with the information for their student’s academic success and create a long-lasting college-going culture
2. Mobilize the non-profit educational organizations to be ready to serve 21st century communities facing major demographic changes
3. Develop a bilingually educated workforce that provides the region with a global competitive advantage.
