KLRU is giving away four family four-packs to the Sesame Street Live show, “Make a New Friend” playing at the Frank Erwin Center in April.  Don’t miss your favorite Sesame Street characters when they come to town in a larger-than-life musical production.  Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby and more are promised to delight in this 90-minute show, a perfect length for young children!  

Sesame Street Live is sure to create a lasting memory for your family, make your contribution below to enter or engage with your community-supported PBS station the following ways to enter in for a chance to win one of the four family 4-packs!

Here is how it works:
Post a video or photo across Facebook, Twitter or Instagram of you and/or your kiddos watching or interacting with Sesame Street. Can be a photo with favorite Sesame Street toy, book or even a screenshot of your favorite character and WHY Sesame Street is so special to you and your family!

Meet Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater!

This spring, KLRU wants you and a friend to join us in the green room before Linklater tapes with Evan Smith on March 22 at 11 a.m.!

Overheard with Evan Smith is thrilled to welcome Richard Linklater back to Studio 6A! Linklater is a multiple Academy Award-nominated director whose credits include Slacker, Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise, A Scanner Darkly,  School of Rock, Bernie, and Boyhood. His most recent Oscar nominations were for Boyhood, which was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Film Editing. That film  won him the Golden Globe for Best Director. His newest film is Everybody Wants Some, which is premiering at South by Southwest and will be released April 15.

Starting now until March 18, be one of the first 5 to answer the following questions to enter in the drawing.

This evening at 9:30 p.m., KLRU celebrates the life of David Bowie. Tune into KLRU-Q and watch DAVID BOWIE: FIVE YEARS. Survey five pivotal years in Bowie’s extensive career, each illustrating his inspiration and where his innovative ideas led him. The program features unseen footage and interviews with close collaborators, and charts Bowie’s continual evolution. Before then we wanted to extend a special incentive to engage with your community supported PBS station during our spring fund drive.
