We’re officially in the 4-day countdown to 2018! This is a wonderful time of year when we reflect on what matters and gather with those who bring us joy. If KLRU brings YOU joy, NOW is the time to share your support. KLRU needs to raise $50,000 by December 31, and we absolutely cannot do it without YOU.
For an early New Year’s goal, make a resolution you can keep and become a KLRU Sustaining Member. You can be proud knowing your monthly donation does the most good, providing a revenue source that lets KLRU make long-term decisions for programming and community outreach. And if you give before January 1, your gift qualifies for a 2017 tax deduction!
When you give to KLRU, you are not only supporting quality television, from Call the Midwife to NewsHour to Austin City Limits to Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood; YOU are bringing joy to Central Texas households who rely on our trusted, inspiring, non-commercial content. Your Sustaining Gift protects local public media now and into the future.
‘Tis the season to get your year-end charitable giving in order. One fantastic way to DOUBLE your impact for KLRU is to contribute via your company’s matching gift program.
There are hundreds of Central Texas employers who will match your 2017 gifts to KLRU. Check here to see if your company is on the list.
Your generosity will help KLRU make up the $50,000 we need to raise by December 31. Any dollars you give with an employer match will help us get there in the three weeks we have left. This is the time when you can stand up for public television as we prepare for 2018.
Thank you for dedication to public television and happy holidays!
P.S. Now through the end of the year, anyone who becomes a Sustainer at ANY amount or increases their monthly gift this month will receive our KLRU Fan Kit, with KLRU decals, a koozie and more! You can also grab the new KLRU baseball tee when you become a Sustaining Member at $10/month or make a one time gift of $120.
KLRU has already wrapped up our winter drive! We cut 10 days from our drive—in exchange for less on-air fundraising, KLRU relies on year-end gifts to make up the difference and head into the new year strong and ready to go!
Fewer on-air interruptions = ✔️
Amount KLRU still needs to raise by December 31 = $50,000
Year end is an ideal time to make final financial contributions and set new goals for next year’s giving. And that’s why KLRU wants to encourage you to become a Sustaining Member this month. Sustaining members make the most impact simply because monthly donations allow KLRU to plan ahead, knowing we have a steady revenue stream.
Already a KLRU Sustainer? Consider increasing your monthly gift. Remember that your generous support is the backbone of this public television station. We would not exist with you.
The resources we extend into the community come from your donation power. Your gift of any amount allows KLRU to give back, reach out and create a space for thoughtful discussion. Central Texas is merry and bright this season because of viewers like you!
And it’s LAST CHANCE for our winter drive thank you gifts. Donate now and receive your choice of thank you item—there are over 130 to choose from, including our popular KLRU Beatles tote, music from The Moody Blues, Rick Steves’ Europe and more!
This November KLRU is committed to cutting 10 days from our drive, and we’ve packed in a lot of fun, including three exciting ticket offers!
Tune in November 25th when it’s all about The Beatles! Catch the fab four at 7 p.m. in the Ron Howard film The Beatles: Eight Days a Week followed by Sgt. Pepper’s Musical Revolution at 9:30 p.m. During the broadcasts we’ll have two special ticket packages to see Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles at ACL Live on April 3, including one opportunity for dinner at The Capital Grille before the show.

KLRU needs to raise $220,000 this season, and YOUR support is absolutely key to our success. Help keep our on-air drives short and our music programming strong. Support the public television station you love and score seats to some fantastic concerts while you’re at it. Thank you!
P.S. Want more music? Make sure to check out KLRU’s other rockin’ ticket offers, including The Moody Blues 50th Anniversary Tour at the HEB Center at Cedar Park on January 21 and Joe Bonamassa at ACL Live on May 25.

It’s time for KLRU’s Annual Viewer Survey and your feedback is essential!
Each year KLRU asks Central Texans to tell us what we’re getting right and how we can improve. These surveys allow us to both check in with individuals while also fine-tuning bigger picture ideas for the upcoming year. The more feedback we receive, the better we can serve the community.
The survey should take a maximum of 10 minutes to complete. Please note that all information collected for this survey is for internal use only and will not be shared or sold to anyone.
And be entered into a giveaway for a KLRU Fan Kit when you take the survey today!
Thank you so much for participating!
With less than 3 days left to take the KLRU Sustainer Challenge, only 40 more Sustainers are needed to meet the goal by this Friday!
Because of your overwhelming response, we met our original goal of 200 and have a new stretch goal to reach 350 sustainers by THIS FRIDAY!
