We did it! Because of YOU, we were able to surpass our goal and raise $20,627 from over 280 people in our community during the Amplify Austin campaign last week. Not only did we surpass our goal, but you helped Amplify Austin surpass their goal and raise over $5.7 million for the Austin area community. It is yourgenerosity that gives us the ability to continue building a stronger Central Texas through quality public television and vital community services. Thank you!
In fact, your gift will help KLRU provide over 35,000 hours of free, high quality programming in the areas of education, arts and culture and public issues to everyone in Central Texas this year. And we go beyond broadcast: last year, over 50,000 people attended KLRU tapings, screenings, workshops and other events and educational activities. With on-air and online content serving 18 counties, KLRU is one of the only nonprofits in Central Texas with the potential to touch nearly every household, every day.
Your gift is an investment in this community. Thank you for your incredible support.
Now is the time! If you value the work we do every day to tell stories about issues that matter to you, join us TODAY for the second annual Amplify Austin community-wide giving day. You have until 6pm to show your support for the shows we create that share what is special about Austin. And if you’re one of over 16,000 who has already joined the Amplify Austin campaign, thank you!
We’re is kicking off our Spring pledge drive this week and have less than 2 weeks to raise $220,000 in order to keep public television strong in Central Texas! If you haven’t already made a gift during this drive, consider making one today. And when you do, we’ve got some great ways to thank you for your donation that go beyond television and let you experience your favorite KLRU and PBS shows in person!
