We did it! Thanks to YOU!

People said it couldn’t be done…$100,000 in just 5 days. But we raised that and then some and it’s all thanks to YOU!

Your gifts rolled in online, over the phone and in the mail to support more programs and fewer interruptions this June. And now that all is said and done, KLRU was able to raise over $108,000 from 875 Central Texans!

We are humbled by your support and so very thankful to be a part of the generous Central Texas community. Thank you for Shaping the Future of #YourKLRU!

⌚ Been waiting long? Last chance to support #YourKLRU!

Over 750 Central Texans have stepped up to support KLRU’s transformational second annual online giving drive and helped raise over $89,000 in just 4 days! But we still have $11,000 to raise to meet our goal! And we can’t do it without YOU!

What’s more is that we have a really fun giveaway to encourage YOU to make that gift of support now! James Taylor & His All-Star Band is coming to the Frank Erwin Center on Wednesday June 22nd at 8:30pm and we want YOU to be there! Meet the Match with Happy Little Trees! 🌳

It’s time to give to Shape the Future of #YourKLRU!

Hi, I’m certainly glad you could join us today.

Are you ready to do a fantastic little painting? Good! I’ll tell you what, let’s get started!

We’re 4 days into our online drive and thanks to YOU, we’ve raised over $70,000, but we still need to raise another $1,000 to meet the $10,000 challenge match from Lonnie & Polly Cooper. When we meet the match, that will put us less than $20,000 from our goal!

On The Joy of Painting, Bob Ross let’s you decide how many happy little trees to paint and where to put them on your canvas. The same goes for KLRU’s second annual online giving drive…YOU decide how much to give and what programs you’d like to support!

With less than 48 hours to meet our $100,000 goal, can we count on you to make broad, bold brushstrokes to help Shape the Future of #YourKLRU?

From all of us here…happy painting! 🎨

PS – See how easy that is…you can do it! And when you do, be sure to donate $60 or more (or become a sustaining member of $5 or more a month) to receive instant access to KLRU Passport, our newest on-demand member benefit that allows you to stream even more of your favorite KLRU and PBS programs

Twice as nice for #YourKLRU!

Double your donation in support of more programs and fewer interruptions!

Three days in and we’ve already raised over $32,000 during our second annual online giving drive! And thanks to Lonnie and Polly Cooper, our $100,000 goal is within reach!

When asked why he and his wife feel so strongly about supporting KLRU, Lonnie said “It’s simple. I believe in the value and inspiration of public television.” He went on to say, “KLRU and PBS have earned my trust and appreciation in a mounting world of noise and political agendas. It’s important to me that PBS presents a multitude of perspectives on a viewpoint, issue or event in history.”

This is why Lonnie and Polly Cooper have kindly put up a $10,000 challenge match to the Central Texas community to Shape the Future #YourKLRU. For every dollar received today, the Coopers will contribute the same amount up to $10,000, potentially helping KLRU bring in a total of $20,000 today!

Now it’s your turn! Will you step up and see your dollar effectively doubled in an instant to support more programs and fewer interruptions by this generous match?

P.S. – Best of all, donate $60 or more (or become a sustaining member at $5 or more a month) and you’ll receive instant access to KLRU Passport – our newest member benefit that provides on-demand access to even more KLRU and PBS programming!

We’re only 2 days into our 5-day online giving drive and we’ve already raised over $20,000 towards our $100,000 goal! Yesterday, we met the $10,000 challenge match from Claire & Carl Stuart. And today, we have a generous dollar for dollar $2,500 challenge match from KLRU Business Supporter, Chez Zee! Give now to double your dollar instantly.

Julia Child, PBS icon and cooking pioneer, once said “Learn how to cook – – try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun.” To her point, KLRU is doing just that with our second annual online giving drive!

Won’t you join us at the table for a serving of more programs with fewer interruptions by making your gift today?

Bon Appetit!

Let’s Double it for #YourKLRU

Dollar for dollar match when you support KLRU today!

We all know that Austin and the Central Texas community is growing…and where there is growth, there is change too. This is why public television, and specifically KLRU, has an ever increasingly important role to play in our community.

So many people are moving here from around the country and around the world and they don’t have roots in Central Texas. They don’t understand the art and culture of the area or the politics and current affairs. KLRU helps build context by offering a place to explore big issues facing Central Texas, by providing insight into the lifestyles and cultures of our region and by celebrating the rich creative community that makes our city so vibrant.

Last June, my wife, Claire, and I supported KLRU with a matching gift promise during the transformational 5-day online giving drive, #YourKLRU. We were delighted to hear of the resounding success of this campaign and the role it has since played in helping KLRU make some important changes to their fundraising efforts.

Today, Claire and I are pleased to support KLRU’s second online giving drive with another $10,000 matching gift promise. Your gift of any amount will be matched dollar for dollar from this challenge, effectively doubling your generosity and the impact of your gift on our growing community.

KLRU is kicking off the online drive today and they need to raise $100,000 in just 5 days! Will you join me in shaping the future of #YourKLRU by making your gift of support right now?
