On Antiques Roadshow Junk In The Trunk 5, Part 1, discover never-before-aired appraisals from this season’s eight-city tour, including a 1925 San Francisco pictorial map, NASA signed photos and a Chinese jadeite peach-form bowl from around 1900. Monday at 7 p.m.

Join Phil as he revisits this food mecca on I’ll Have What Phil’s Having Italy, Monday at 8:30 p.m. Sit down with him as he feasts on a home-cooked meal at chef Nancy Silverton’s Umbrian home and indulges his inner caveman, roasting gargantuan steaks over hot flames and serving them up “barbarian style.”

Narrated by the late Ossie Davis, Trans-siberian Orchestra: Ghosts of Christmas Eve, Monday at 10 p.m., is a fantasy trip through the magic of Christmas. A runaway little girl decides to return to her family after she enters a rundown theater for shelter and encounters an old caretaker (Davis), who guides her on her journey.

It was 50 years ago, in 1965, when Arlo Guthrie took out the trash following a Thanksgiving dinner that “couldn’t be beat”. It started a chain of events including Arlo’s arrest for littering, court appearance, and rejection from military service depicted in his hilarious and iconic song, Alice’s Restaurant. In Alice’s Restaurant 50th Anniversary Concert, Tuesday at 7 p.m., Arlo deftly performs the song for the first time in over a decade and receives a standing ovation from his delighted fans.

Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ken Burns: The Civil War in September 2015 with this in-depth overview of the iconic documentary. See video clips and interviews with Ken Burns, Geoffrey Ward, Ric Burns, Buddy Squires and others.

From manger scenes and mistletoe to wintry wonderlands, Rick Steves’ European Christmas celebrates the Christmas season throughout the European continent. In the special, airing Tuesday at 10 p.m., Rick visits friends and families in England, France, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy to reveal their customs and practices of the holiday season.

In Nature Pets: Wild At Heart: Playful Creatures, Wednesday at 7 p.m., we investigate how our favorite pets get in touch with their wild side through play and discover how our pets’ playful games are just a whisker away from the wild.

Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., retrace Einstein’s thought experiments as NOVA Inside Einstein’s Mind reveals the simple but powerful ideas that reshaped our understanding of gravity, illuminating the theory of general relativity-and Einstein’s brilliance – as never before.

The hour-long Rick Steves Special The Holy Land, Israelis And Palestinians Today, weaves together both the Israeli and the Palestinian narratives to better understand a place that is, for a third of humanity, literally holy land. The crossroads for three great religions, the Holy Land has been coveted and fought over for centuries. Host Rick Steves visits the major sights, but delves deeper to better understand and empathize with both peoples. Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Thursday at 7 p.m., host Pete Evans makes his way to Austin to get a taste of some authentic Texas cuisine with father-son chef duo Jack and Bryce Gilmore on Moveable Feast With Fine Cooking Austin, Texas. Pete meets them at Urban Roots Farm, an organization that uses food and farming to transform the lives of young people, where they pick vegetables and get honey right from the combs.

Il Volvo: Live From Pompeii airs Thursday at 8 p.m. Soar with the perfect harmony of the charming trio as they pay homage to their home country. The young tenors perform classic Italian favorites and original songs in this new concert special filmed in the spectacular ancient ruins of Pompeii.

On Josh Groban: Stages Live, Friday at 8 p.m., join the world-renowned performer to explore classic songs from the Broadway songbook. Fans of all ages will want to sing along to famous tunes including “All I Ask of You,” “Bring Him Home,” “Anthem,” “Pure Imagination,” “Try to Remember” and more.
