Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise co-host the 26th broadcast of the National Memorial Day Concert, a night of remembrance honoring the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, their families at home and all those who have given their lives for our country. Airs Sunday at 7 pm, 8:30 pm, and Monday at 10 pm.

On Monday at 8 pm, view intimate portraits of America’s military families on Homefront, with unprecedented access to soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen and women in the all-volunteer military.

His activism has cost him his freedom repeatedly, but he never seems to lose his childlike approach to serious dissidence executed with a wink.

Nature My Bionic Pet at 7 pm Wednesday explores how technology can save injured animals. Left disabled without fins, flippers, beaks or tails because of disease, accidents or even human cruelty, these unfortunate creatures need what amounts to a miracle if they are to survive.

Thursday’s Overheard With Evan Smith at 7 pm features Cokie Roberts, best-selling author, contributor to NPR’s Morning Edition and Political Commentator for ABC News.

Arts In Context In Their Words at 7:30 pm on Thursday profiles Songwriting With Soldiers, an organization that offers intensely immersive retreats to military veterans and active duty soldiers where they write songs about their experiences with the help of professional songwriters.
