Starting at 7 p.m., the series My Wild Affair tells the story of The Rhino Who Joined the Family. After being saved from a flood in the Zambezi River, Rupert the rhino grew up in the suburban home of a wildlife vet. Even after his release back into the wild, the vet’s four children remember their friend and seek to find his fate after fifty years.

Then, NOVA travels back in time in the fascinating land of Australia on Australia’s First 4 Billion Years: Monsters. Starting at 8 p.m., see some of the largest, most dangerous reptiles that ruled this land.

Take a deeper look into the cute, bouncy and wildly unique world of marsupials on Sex in the Wild: Kangaroos. Beyond the Outback of Australia where kangaroos thrive, hosts Joy and Mark take us to Queensland to see how tree-living koalas defy gravity to reproduce. Don’t miss the special Wednesday at 9 p.m. on KLRU!
