Here’s what you can’t miss this week on KLRU!

Last Tango in Halifax, a series about a couple reunited after 60 years, continues season two on Sunday at 7 p.m. Watch the family dynamics of their grown children colliding and the revealing of a secret Celia has kept since she was 15 years old.

The brand new episode of Masterpiece Mystery!, Sway, airs at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Constable Endeavour Morse finds the third strangling victim of the month, putting the Oxford police in panic as he and Thursday work to narrow down suspects.

After the new Endeavour episode, our classic mystery dramas continue on Sunday night with Father Brown at 9:30 and Doc Martin at 10:15 p.m.

Monday, hit the road with Antiques Roadshow to see what hidden treasures are in Baltimore and Los Angeles. The back-to-back episodes feature an Edgar Allan Poe-inscribed book, a Titanic collection, and Disney animation art, starting at 7 p.m.

A very special POV documentary premieres Monday night at 9: Getting Back to Abnormal, co-directed by Austinite Paul Stekler, beautifully examines the nature of New Orleans’ politics and culture, centered around the complicated and ever-present issue of race. Over five years after the disaster of Hurricane Katrina, the fascinating rebuilt city struggles over the election of a city council member.

Following the POV premiere, Makarios: A Rising Tide  at 10:30 p.m. on Monday documents a preschool tucked away in a remote village in the Dominican Republic and its efforts to end the cycle of extreme poverty through education.

Time Scanners zooms in on the ancient desert city of Petra Tuesday at 7 p.m. Using 3D laser-scanning technology, Steve Burrows seeks to uncover the architectural secrets of the lost wonderland.

In 1885, eight women – two white and six black servants – were brutally murdered with an ax in Austin, Texas. Police rounded up suspects, then took to trial a white man who was eventually acquitted. The murders were forgotten, but not by our History Detectives Special Investigations team who attempts to solve the murder using special investigative techniques. Watch Texas Servant Girl Murders on KLRU at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

PBS airs a new Frontline at 9 p.m. on Tuesday: Separate and Unequal tells the story of a white community in Baton Rouge, La. that attempts to create a new city and school district to avoid majority black schools. Also, this special updates the story of Omarina Cabrera, a student featured in the 2012 film Middle School Moment about a struggling student in the Bronx.

From a neglected individual with disabilities to a national hero, Friend Indeed: The Bill Sackter Story follows the man that changed America’s perception of people with disabilities forever. Watch the documentary at 10 on Tuesday night.

Get ready for a KLRU science night! Starting in the wild, My Wild Affair tells the story of an abandoned elephant taken in by Daphne Sheldrick, and the bond that eventually reaches a crisis. Watch The Elephant who Found a Mom on KLRU at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

NOVA goes deep into the Earth’s isolated continent to show how Australia’s ancient landscape holds clues to the world’s early history and the beginning of life. Australia’s First 4 Billion Years airs at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Back to elephants: Sex in the Wild shows us just how the largest animal on land reproduces. The longest pregnancy in the animal kingdom and the birth of a 220-pound calf make elephants quite unique in the world of procreation. Watch the special on KLRU Wednesday night at 9.

Grammy award-winning Lucinda Williams is a special guest on Overheard with Evan Smith Thursday night at 7. Watch as they discuss her self-titled album’s re-release after 25 years along with a Q&A for the singer and more.

Arts in Context examines the just recently respected art of tattoos. Over the past three decades, the art has undergone drastic changes – check out A Moving Canvas Thursday at 7:30 p.m. only on KLRU.

Follow Chet to Johnson City on The Daytripper at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The birthplace and hometown of President Lyndon B. Johnson, Chet visits his boyhood home and the National Historical Park, the “Texas White House.”
