Science Night! 6/25

Special programs from 7:00-10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25th reveal fascinating scientific facts behind our everyday world.

Starting with Nature, Fabulous Frogs goes into the weird world of one of the most successful amphibians. Colorful, slimy, big or small, these fascinating creatures adapt to survive almost any habitat. Watch the frog feature at 7 p.m. on KLRU.

Next at 8 p.m., NOVA explores the Earth’s most severe natural disasters. Deadliest Earthquakes looks at a year one of the worst annual death tolls ever recorded, 2010. Focusing on the worst earthquake of the year in Haiti, American geologists sift through the aftermath of the storm that killed over 200,000 people.

A special NOVA presentation, Surviving the Tsunami, gets stories from survivors of the worst tsunami to ever hit Japan. Stories of a daughter pulling her elderly mother out of the water and to a rooftop, hear how ordinary citizens became heroes through the tragedy at 9:00 p.m. on KLRU’s Science Night!
