KLRU Create will inspire you to craft something new with these Saturday theme days in October.
10/5 – Journey to Latin America
Travel the Caribbean and South America in honor of Hispanic Heritage month.  Joseph Rosendo, Rudy Maxa and Pati Jinich will take you to Mexico, Puerto Rico and beyond.  You’ll be overwhelmed by the rich history, beautiful landscapes, tasty cuisine and cultural experiences.  This is a trip you don’t want to miss!

10/12 – Andiamo in Italia
Who doesn’t love a good bowl of pasta? In honor of Columbus Day, Create is celebrating with all things Italian! We’re inviting you to authentic Italian kitchens and historic cities and highlighting the best Italian inspired recipes.  Leading the celebration are chefs Nick Stellino and Mary Ann Esposito and world traveler Burt Wolf.  Join us to learn a little Italian culture this Columbus Day and Andiamo in Italia!

10/19 – Lose It or Use It
As the seasons are changing, everyone is cleaning up and cleaning out. But where does that leave the things that have been on your shelf for 10 years or the broken pot in the garden? Not to mention the leftovers from last night’s dinner. Join P. Allen Smith, Katie Brown, and others to learn how to put all these things to good use, instead of taking up space. Clean up your living space and the environment with lose it to use it.

10/26 – Autumn Harvest
As the weather gets cooler, we look ahead to harvest time.  Enjoy apple, pumpkin, squash and sweet potato recipes by Katie Brown, P. Allen Smith, Joanne Weir and many more.  These versatile fruits and vegetables will keep your family wanting more!  It looks as though this year’s harvest will be plentiful.
