Just Scene It at 7 pm
Our most eclectic mix of movies yet this summer! We review THE PURGE, where all crimes, even murder, are legal for one twelve hour period each year. We then turn our eye to the remarkable documentary, 20 FEET FROM STARDOM. Next, find out what happens when a bunch of movies stars are faced with The Apocalypse in THIS IS THE END. And finally, after twelve years away, we join back up with “Mike” and “Sulley” in MONSTERS UNIVERSITY.

On Story Romantic Comedies at 7:30 pm
The screenwriters (Abby Kohn, Geoff LaTulippe, Dana Stevens, Marc Silverstein, Marcie Mayhorn-Moderator) behind NEVER BEEN KISSED, SAFE HAVEN, GOING THE DISTANCE and HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU contemplate the important balance of relationship, conflict and originality when creating romantic comedies. Followed by the short film, DO OVER by David Fabelo, illustrating several failed judicious attempts of mastering a first date.

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? at 8 pm
A Hollywood child-star has-been (Bette Davis) torments her famous sister (Joan Crawford), now in a wheelchair. Cast: Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Victor Buono.

Joan Crawford: Always A Star at 10:15 pm
his glamorous and hugely popular actress raised herself from brutal poverty to Academy Award-winning stardom through guts, determination and hard work. During her 50-year career, she made more than 80 films. But her obsessive perfectionism led to a later caricature of coat-hanger-wielding harridan that even the adoration of her fans could not counter.
