We offer you our Hidden Gems of 2012 with reviews of Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, Robot and Frank and Safety Not Guaranteed; We continue our mid-season pilot reviews with coverage of CBS’s Golden Boy and NBC’s Do No Harm, and review the new crime drama, Broken City, starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe.
8:30 pm – Once
An Irish street musician (Glen Hansard) and a Czech immigrant (Marketa Irglova) collaborate on a number of songs that reflect the story of their blossoming love. Cast: Glen Hansard, Marketa Irglova.
10 pm – Patti Smith: Dream of Life
Shot over 11 years by renowned fashion photographer Steven Sebring, this documentary is an intimate portrait of the legendary rocker, poet and artist. Shot in lush, dark tones, featuring rare performance clips and narrated by the artist herself, “Patti Smith: Dream of Life” is an impressionistic journal of a multi-faceted artist that underscores her unique place in American culture.
